The GAP

WHAT IS THE GAP?

The GAP is the training and missionary placement arm of Light to the Nations, a ministry with a vision to plant churches that raise up leaders to plant churches. One of the primary focuses of Light to the Nations and the GAP is to plant churches in the less reached and neglected areas of Brazil and throughout the world. From a short-term mission trip to permanent field placement, there is a place for you in the GAP!

1. Short-term mission trips – If you want to have an impactful and exciting missions experience or if you are seriously considering long-term missions involvement, the GAP mission trips are a great option. Most trips focus on planting a new church and provide a taste of the semester-long apprenticeship program.

2. Semester Apprenticeship – This includes well over 150 hours of classroom training which prepares students for a series of focused team ministry projects. The projects build toward a church plant as the semester progresses.

3. Internship Field Placement – For students who want to deepen their missions experience by being on the front lines, the field internship is for you! The internships are conducted at a new or recent church plant typically in a neglected area of Brazil.

4. Permanent Field placement – You may apply to the GAP and Light to the Nations for permanent missionary placement. There are always a variety of missions opportunities.
